Islamic civilization
It examines the definition of civilization, culture, civilization and heritage, highlighting the meaning of Islamic civilization, then defining the manifestations of Muslim civilization in the political, economic, social and intellectual fields and the extent of the influence of this civilization on other civilizations, especially European civilization.
The Ottoman Empire (establishment and institutions)
This course examines the origin of the Ottomans, the emergence and expansion of the Ottoman Empire, its political history, and its administrative, financial, military, and legal systems. It also examines Ottoman society and the economic structure of the Ottoman State, with a focus on the Arab world.
Contemporary history
This course examines the historical, economic, social, and administrative developments in, since the establishment of the emirate, developments during the era of the British Mandate, knowledge of developments after the declaration of ownership in 1946, the role in national issues during the reign of King Hussein, the Palestinian-Palestinian relationship, a role in the June 1967 war, the October 1973 war, in addition to the position on the 1990/1991 Gulf War, and the return of Democratic life in, then developments in all fields during the reign of King Abdul II (1999-2005).
History of Europe in the Middle Ages
This course examines the main foundations that shaped the history of Europe in the Middle Ages, namely the Greco-Roman heritage, Germanic raids, and the Christian religion. Then it deals with the circumstances that contributed to the emergence of a distinct civilization in Northern Europe as a result of the mixing of the Germanic element with the Roman one. It then addresses religious developments, the role of the church, and the conflict between religious and temporal authority. The movement of religious reforms, economic developments and feudalism, agricultural wealth, Charlemagne’s empire and its fragmentation. The emergence of European economic kingdoms, and the emergence of national kingdoms that Europe experienced until the middle of the fourteenth century
History of the Umayyad state
This course examines the following topics: the development of the Caliphate institution, the continuation of the conquest movement, administrative development, social, economic and urban life, opposition movements and the transfer of power to the Abbasid dynasty.
History of the Abbasid state
This course examines the Abbasid call, the movement and its principles. Then the Abbasids and their general trends, the caliphate and the rule of the Covenant. Administrative developments. External relations. Caliphate and the army. The introduction of the Turks and its impact on the state. The beginning of the emergence of the Emirates. Economic developments: the emergence of trade, the expansion of agriculture, property ownership and loss. Social revolutions: Zanj revolution, Qarmatian movement and Ismailism

This course examines the civilizations that appeared in the ancient Near East since the fourth millennium BC, especially the Egyptian civilization and the Mesopotamian civilization. In addition to studying the civilizations that appeared in the Levant. The focus will be on cultural aspects
History of the Islamic world from the century
This article examines the following topics: The establishment of the Buyid state. The emergence of the Seljuk state and its most important institutions, a discussion of the conditions of the Abbasid Caliphate in the fifth and sixth centuries AH, its most important organizations and its position on division and external invasion, a discussion of the establishment of the Atabeg states, and its position on the Frankish invasion, especially the Buri and the Zengid, then the establishment of the Ayyubid state and its most important institutions, then a study of the history of the Islamic East and the most important states that were established in it, especially the state. Ghaznavidism, the Ghurid state, and the Khwarezmian state
History of the Arabs before Islam
This course examines the history of the Arabs before Islam, from the first millennium BC until the emergence of Islam, and explains the cultural role played by the ancient Arab entities, whether in the South Arabian Peninsula (Yemen) or in other regions of the Arabian Peninsula, in addition to the entities that appeared outside the borders of the Arabian Peninsula. The focus will be on the political, economic, social and religious conditions of the Arabs prior to the emergence of Islam
History of Morocco and Andalusia
This article examines the social, political and economic structure following the conquest of both the Maghreb and Andalusia, which relates to the era of the governors and the era of the emirate in Cordoba, with reference to the origins of the population and their developments, especially in the Maghreb when the separatist movements appeared there, which led to the establishment of independent states, such as the Aghlabid state in the lower Maghreb, the Rustamids in the central Maghreb, and the Idrisid in the Far Maghreb, and its reflection on the conditions of Andalusia. History of the Mamluk era
This course examines the following: sources for studying the history of the Mamluks, the entry of the Mamluks into the service of the Ayyubid state, the main political and military developments in Egypt and the Levant during this era, and the Mamluk administration therein. It also discusses the following institutions: the Sultanate, the army, feudalism, and the cultural remnants of this era, especially in architecture and some other Islamic arts.
Introduction to the study of history
This course examines the science of history in terms of its meaning, usefulness, and importance, and its connection to the rest of the sciences, especially humanity. It then presents historical theories and schools, and focuses on writing and interpreting history among nations, with examples from Arab and world history.
Historical research method
Clarifying concepts related to (the history of historiography) or the development of historical writing and its methods. Then a theoretical study of the steps of the historical research method, which includes the steps for conducting research in terms of defining topics, making plans, reviewing sources, studying, criticizing and analyzing novels, and historical writing with documentation. This is in addition to focusing on practical training for each of these steps so that the student can accurately understand his sources and the narrations in them.
