Studying the extent of the danger of the current global environment, analyzing the risk, response, choice, and cumulative experiences in this field, individual choice, collective action, national policies to address environmental dangers, and international cooperation in this field.
Social geography
Studying the impact of place on building human groups and social organizations. Studying the relationships between place and social behavior, and the consequences of these relationships, as well as studying the processes and functions that affect spatial structure.
Quantitative geography

A study of topics that aims to trace the development of geographical ideas in ancient times, and about Muslims, up to modern geography and the emergence of geography departments in various universities in the world, such as in Germany, France, Britain, and the United States... This is followed by a definition of the branches of geography and their relationship to other sciences, in addition to studying the various trends and schools that have emerged since the late nineteenth century.

This course aims to define in terms of the natural geographical extension of the state, and the development of the geographical and cultural location of Jordan as a link and transit center between the countries of the Arab world and between the Far East and Europe. This course also addresses the forms of the earth’s surface, climate, water, and human cover, which includes the distribution of population, urbanization, and economic activity. The problems of the environment, water, desertification and population will be addressed
Rural geography
Studying rural areas and highlighting their characteristics in terms of uses of rural land, settlement pattern, economic life, and the problems that rural areas suffer from, and examining ways to increase the efficiency of exploitation of rural resources by proposing appropriate development strategies.
Population geography
Studying the development of population geography and determining the subject of the study of population geography, the importance of studying population geography and the differences and complementarities between it and demography. The focus is on studying the following population characteristics: population distribution and the spatial patterns by which population distribution is organized and the interpretation of these patterns, and population change through fertility, death, inward and outward migration, and various population structures, with a focus on the dominance or organization by which these population characteristics are organized and the interpretation of this organization
Principles of maps
Study of map design, including map symbols, and teaching maps as geographical models using computers, as well as topological maps. The material includes types of maps, including descriptive and quantitative thematic maps, and methods of representing terrain on maps.
Climate principles
Studying the elements of climate (temperature, precipitation, wind) and their differences in the layers of the gasosphere and how to measure and represent them on weather maps. It also studies the different classifications of climate regions. The focus is on the Köppen classification and then studies the detailed climate and its impact on the environment and human attempts to modify it to its advantage.
Introduction to geography
Studying the characteristics of the components of ecosystems, natural and human, and the mutual relationships that exist between them with the aim of knowing the reasons for regional differentiation in the world. This includes studying the atmosphere, water, rock and biosphere, in addition to studying the inhabitants of this planet in terms of their growth, geographical distribution, economic and urban activities, and the existing relationships between the population on the one hand and their geographical environments on the other hand.
Location theory
Studying the theories of agricultural land use locations of Van and Theunen, the factory location theory of Weber, and the central places theory of Krelstaber, and related works, and evaluating these theories.
Transportation systems
Study of land, air, sea, and rail transportation systems, the transportation characteristics of those systems, the road and port network for each system, and the factors affecting the use of transportation systems in transporting goods and individuals.
