This course provides a primer on the history of psychology and the major schools that have formed the field. It also presents specialized information on topics such as physiological psychology, theories of learning, sensation and perception, memory, intelligence, language, motivation and emotion, personality, and psychological disorders.

This course provides specialized information on psychological measurement and how to use tests in the process of diagnosis and psychological assessment. It reviews various types of projective and objective tests in personality assessment and tests of psychological state such as anger, depression, and anxiety, and tests of cognitive abilities. Students may administer some psychological tests, score them, and write reports on their results under the direct supervision of the course instructor.

This course provides specialized information on sensory and perceptual processes such as theories of sensation and perception, and covers the relationship between physical stimuli and psychological responses, the structure of the sensory systems and the cognitive processes that arise from them, attention, and the development of perception. It also introduces diseases of sensory organs and the need for their care.

This course provides specialized information on methods of statistical data analysis and deriving relationships between study variables. Topics include: an introduction to statistical design; analysis of relationships between variables using Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients; chi-square tests; tests used to determine relationships between variables such as one-way ANOVA, multiple regression, and factor analysis.

This course provides an introduction to statistics and its applications in psychology and social sciences. It covers topics such as methods for summarizing and presenting raw data, frequency distributions and graphs (measures of central tendency) mean, median, mode, percentiles, and dispersion measures such as standard deviation and variance, including the normal distribution.

This course studies the nature and characteristics of refugees who flee due to wars or natural disasters. It reviews the major psychological and psychosocial problems faced by refugees, and the mechanisms and various approaches to providing psychosocial support.

It also covers advanced topics on brain mechanisms and how they influence human behavior.

This course provides specialized information on problems that arise in the behavior of children and adolescents during development, including loss of a sense of security, habit disorders, peer relationship problems, and antisocial behaviors. It discusses the causes of these disorders, prevention methods, and treatment approaches, with emphasis on experimental and field research conducted on forms of treatment and their efficacy.

This course provides specialized information on the basics of the scientific method in research: problem identification, hypothesis formulation, transforming variables from how to how much and measuring them, experimental designs, data collection, statistical analysis, and writing scientific results. It also provides information on scientific conclusions and the experimental and correlational research approaches used in psychology, including data collection methods and the limits of conclusions on which they are based.
