This course aims to refine the practical ability of nursing students to deal with various medical institutions as an important part of the field of knowledge. In addition to programming this course to provide the nursing student with basic practical skills through its integration of concepts, basics, and ethical and legal issues to assist him and serve as a guide for him to develop his practical capabilities. The nursing process is considered the basis of lectures and laboratory activities and is the mainstay in terms of focusing on nursing interventions.

This course aims to introduce students to the basic concepts in nursing and learn the nursing process and its importance in meeting the necessary and basic needs of the individual while integrating knowledge of biological sciences and social sciences into the nursing process in order to know the factors related to disease and their interference in the path of health and disease. It also emphasizes the existence of a comprehensive method of nursing care through basic prevention to enhance, preserve and return the patient to the optimal level of health throughout life through education, learning, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving method.

This course aims to develop students’ knowledge of management concepts, theories, schools, skills, challenges, and applications in the health and nursing field. The course deals with the administrative process and its steps, including planning, organizing, directing, evaluating, concepts of supervision and control, quality improvement, knowledge of accreditation programs, information technology, decision-making, delegation, and problem management.

This course was prepared to provide nursing students with the basic knowledge and skills to be able to collect information related to the patient’s medical history in addition to conducting a structured clinical health assessment for adult patients. This is done through a comprehensive assessment based on physiological, psychological, and developmental standards, taking into account the social cultural background of the disease. This course enables students to distinguish between normal evaluation results from abnormal ones and link them to the patient’s health condition, not to mention the laboratory and diagnostic tests and medications that the student links to the above. This course also provides a real opportunity for students to learn to apply the skills learned in this course in other advanced courses.

This course aims to provide basic knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation education for patients at all stages of life. The course also focuses on the role of the nurse in the process of communication and education for patients. Through this course, students are guided to apply various communication skills while providing health education to patients in all circumstances. It also focuses on using the theories and skills necessary to communicate with all age groups and in various primary and secondary health institutions

This course provides basic information about the stages of human growth and development from fertilization to adulthood. It also focuses on human development from a physiological, mental, psychological and social perspective. The student is introduced to the factors that affect the growth and development of the individual from the four perspectives, which contributes to raising the student’s competence in understanding and evaluating the process of growth and development across the different stages of life.

This second course in adult health nursing is both theoretical and complementary, as the student is exposed in both courses to common changes in an individual's health status and care. The focus is on introducing the student to the terminology and understanding it, the common causes of the disease, diagnostic examinations and medical treatment for each of the common pathological changes, with a focus on nursing problems, planning to solve the problem, working to implement this planning, and concluding with an evaluation of the impact of nursing implementation on the adult individual, taking into account comprehensiveness in care. During this semester, the student educates the patient and his family in a manner appropriate to his health needs. In this semester, the student is also exposed to health changes in the nervous system and senses (auditory, visual, and ear), the urinary system, the musculoskeletal system, the immune system, and changes in the metabolism and endocrine system. The student is also exposed to emergency situations and how to deal with them.

This course focuses on the basic concepts in nursing, which are considered the basic foundation of the nursing profession, by presenting concepts that discuss the nursing process and its general framework for providing nursing care, in addition to introducing students to the history and development of the nursing profession and the legal and ethical issues that govern the practice of the profession, then exposing them to general concepts such as health and health promotion; And the components of integrated physiological and psychological health to care for individuals.

This course exposes the student to selected topics in nursing and health scientific developments. These topics will be presented through lectures and discussion, with the student, under the supervision of the teacher, studying and presenting a specific topic according to his interests
