Study of radiographic techniques for the oral and maxillofacial region. The course also covers the nature of dental radiography, protection methods, the different teeth, and correct interpretation of radiographs

Provide students with foundational knowledge to diagnose orthodontic cases requiring early intervention and to determine when they can be treated with available methods and when referral to an orthodontist is needed. The course includes detailed explanations of simple removable orthodontic appliances and their treatment methods. As part of the course, students will gain exposure to orthodontic clinics. There will be emphasis on early interceptive orthodontic cases using removable appliances

Develop knowledge and expertise in dental biomaterials used in clinical dentistry and their handling and application in pediatric dentistry. The course aims to expose the student to laboratory studies on the physical and chemical properties of these materials and the extent of their biocompatibility and effects on biological systems

This course focuses on identifying the causes and prevalence of dental caries and preventive methods using fluoridation, in addition to other preventive methods. It also covers modern methods for diagnosing dental caries and how to treat it

Introduction to the nature and etiologies of diseases affecting the oral cavity to establish diagnosis and comprehensive treatment plans for patients

This course covers clinical applications of drugs, including patient treatment, drug trials and studies of drug usages; it also examines drug trials in dentistry and the various stages of drug development, from initial formulation to final form, and discusses guidelines and ethics for drug use in trials as specified by various committees in clinical drug research such as the Helsinki Declaration and FDA guidelines. The practical component includes hands-on activities in pharmaceutical laboratory research and studies of drug usage
