Electronic Business
The course aims to introduce electronic business and the related concepts, planning, and models; the benefits and constraints of electronic business; the extent of electronic business's contribution to organizations and electronic markets; supply chains and value chains; intermediation and trade-union aspects; competition; liquidity; success factors; auctions; barter; negotiation on the Internet; electronic commerce, commercial enterprises and business models; tracking and classification; market research; and advertising on the World Wide Web.
Web Programming
Fundamentals of website design and analysis; understanding the concepts of analysis and design; knowing how to analyze a page and the resulting website; identifying the characteristics of a good website; writing the necessary markup to create a page or website using HTML; building a page and a website using DHTML; understanding the concept of DHTML and the reasons for its use; distinguishing between HTML and DHTML; familiarity with CSS and Java.
Programming in a Visual Language
An introduction to a visual programming language covering programming fundamentals and event-driven visual programming, conditional and iterative statements, handling one- and two-dimensional arrays, built-in functions, lists, and dialog boxes.
Project
Employing knowledge and skills to produce an integrated technical project; using various techniques in the production process; ensuring the student is familiar with preliminary planning and the standard specifications for the integrated production work; estimating the cost of materials in the production process; and using the programming languages the student has studied and worked with to produce a comprehensive integrated project.

The course introduces the PHP language, its importance, and its power in designing dynamic websites; it covers sending and receiving data between the client and the server, data validation, and working with databases and files.
Introduction to Operating Systems
The course addresses the structure and services of operating systems, processor scheduling, process synchronization, synchronization techniques, deadlock, memory management, virtual memory, input/output handling, secondary storage management, and file systems.
Components of the Personal Computer
Introduction to the stages of computer evolution; presentation of the different generations of computers, beginning with vacuum tubes and ending with very-large-scale integrated circuits. Analysis of the impact of this evolution on computer size and performance efficiency (in terms of speed, accuracy, physical size, and information storage capacity).
Software Engineering
Software Engineering is concerned with providing students with knowledge of software requirements and the skills and methods to express them, through the ability to articulate the needs and constraints imposed on software that contribute to meeting real-world requirements. It also aims to provide students with skills and methods for software design, manifested in the ability to determine the architecture, components, and interfaces of the system and any of its elements.
